New year, new you?

With a new year, everyone is making goals; stores, magazines etc are advertising for ways to make yourself better.  Well, while all of that changes from year to year, I'm leaning on something that NEVER changes: God's Word. The world advertises things for outward beauty, and that is always changing. But God sees the heart, and that is what really matters.
My challenge for this new year is daily asking myself, "if everything was taken from me: my health, my family, etc, would Christ be enough?" My challenge is based off of some very special verses in Habakkuk.
"Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD; I will take joy in the God of my salvation. GOD, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer's; he makes me tread on my high places."       Habakkuk 3:17-19

We need to daily remind ourselves to be thankful in ALL circumstances!
